13 Tonne Double Girder Overhead Crane

First installation for 2023! West Crane Service completed the manufacture and installation of a new 13 Tonne Double Girder overhead crane for a long term customer in Laverton Victoria. The installation crew had their work cut out for them for these works. Completed over the Australia Day Weekend with a limited opportunity for works to be completed before production to started. It was a tight squeeze to get the crane up in a tight area and very little head room. Our installation crew worked well with all of great suppliers to get this done with a great result.

Planning for the new overhead crane was done closely with the customer and the prodcution team on site. Not only did we replace the old existing crane with a new crane. But ensured the new crane would improve production and maintenance on site with additional features. Including a 3.2 Tonne Auxliary hoist for maintenance use, Wireless Akerstroms Remote, Load Display, Data Logging, Travel and Traverse Limits, LED work lights and all motion warning lights and sirens.

We are excited to continue to work closely with our customer on future projects as well as providing overhead crane service, lifting equipment inspections and 24 hour 7 days a week breakdown service for the whole site.
